Featuring Activ Blue Glass
Our client, an established interior designer, contacted Apropos to assist with the renovation of this Edwardian property. An excavation to create a full size basement together with rebuilding the current ground floor extension were all part of the brief. We were engaged to supply and install the two bespoke roof lanterns, each with four opening vents.
The roof lanterns have Pilkington active blue glass; this self-cleaning and solar-control glass does a great job of keeping the glass clean and reducing solar gain into the property; nearly always required by building regulations in sunny gardens.
The configuration of the basement to garden stairs altered during the project; the size of the two roof lanterns is disguised by the parapet wall to the front elevation. Modern products and design working well in a traditional environment.
