New Year, New You…New Home?

Lean-to Kitchen Extension by Apropos

The urban chic of an aluminium lean to provides the perfect kitchen extension.

As the new year opens, it’s the perfect chance to evaluate what we want from life and how we want to live. New beginnings bring endless possibility! Whilst it’s tempting to reflect on what not to do in the new year, it’s far nicer  to consider what you can change.

You see, the problem with New Year’s resolutions is that most of us opt to stop doing whatever it is that we secretly love doing. So, even if we do manage to stick with our self denial for a time, it’s not really a sustainable situation. The trick to an achievable resolution is to choose something that gives us something back.

If you’ve fallen out of love with the your home, consider how rewarding a home renovation project can be. It’s a great goal to set yourself and will benefit you and the entire family. Rejuvenating your home with a glazed extension, whether a simple skylight or a full-frontal double-height atrium, can change the way you live in and use the space around you. Open up your options this new year, by opening up the space in your home, and say goodbye to limiting resolutions.

Aside from the glow you’ll get from achieving your goal, your new Apropos addition could well lead on to the fulfilment of other resolutions. If your kitchen looks and feels wonderful you’re far more likely to use it, you’ll likely save money on home utilities or perhaps you’ll create a home gym in your new space. If not? Then all you’re left with is a beautifully bright, fresh and new home to relax in and enjoy your year. Either way, we think you’re on to a winner.

In a recent survey, 64% of people spoken to vowed to give something up something for their new years resolution, but sometimes a change is as good as a reprieve. It even sounds more positive!

Happy New Year!
