A Winters TalePublished on 21st October 2017
We tend to take our photography and put together our case studies during the summer month, to get the best light and show our structures in their natural habitat (not that they aren’t just as efficient during the rest of the year) – so we rarely get to see our conservatories, extensions and orangeries within a winter scene.
These images, kindly shared with us by the architects, of a stunningly modern kitchen extension are therefore a little different – with winter’s frosty fingers complimenting the clean, stark lines of our system.

Our clients were working with the property experts over at P G Property Services to completely overhaul their traditional Georgian home. The brief called for lots of natural light and spacious open plan areas – in which Apropos excels!
The decision was made to extend the home outwards into previously lack-lustre garden space. This meant that the entire back section of the home became a window on nature, thanks to the addition of a large glass and aluminium lean to kitchen extension and glazed curtain walling. A modern rooflight was also incorporated to extend the home upwards and allow natural light to reach the upper storeys of the property.
All aspects of the Apropos design allow natural light to flood our clients home and by working alongside property experts from P G Property Services unique features such as aluminium flashing were added in order to make the kitchen both functional and beautiful and help give full impact to the glass curtain walling and open plan spaces beyond.
