A Double Storey Glass Extension

Our case study today showcases a beautifully original structure we designed for a period property in Sutton Coldfield. Double storey extensions always look striking, but we’re particularly pleased with the finish on this bespoke atrium.

The Details

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham

Size: Glazing was added to the whole house

Features: Glass Balcony, Two set of folding sliding doors.

Colour: RAL 6021 – Pale Green

The Brief

To create a bespoke glass extension, which complemented the period features and brings light into the property. Making use of the two story building by creating depth and dimension to the extension as well as making it a practical living space.

The Process

The client decided to add a large brick extension onto the property and we designed a two storey glass frontage for this extension as well as a lean-to conservatory to add a light and airy hallway linked to the rest of the property. Folding sliding doors were used to create an open space onto the balcony and into the garden.

The Result

A large double story extension in keeping with the period features, providing consistency throughout the whole project. adding tons of living space to this beautiful home, the extension has changed the way our clients enjoy their property.
