Connect this Christmas with Gigaset…

Competition alert! Read on to find out how you can bag yourself one of four exceptional Gigaset handsets…just in time for Christmas!

The future of the home phone has seemed uncertain, possibly even non-existent, for some time now. Thanks to the rapid growth in popularity of mobile devices, instant messaging platforms and video chat software, it’s hard to see where the humble home phone may find its modern niche; within a communications market it once dominated.

Or so you may have thought, that is, until Gigaset introduced their latest range of wireless handsets; boasting Android capabilities, low radiation, internet use and the capacity to hold a range of aps (which, let’s face it, most of us now can’t live without) from the Google Play store, Gigaset have finally brought the home phone into the 21st century – and, by gosh, have they done it in style.

We’re particular fans of the SL930 A, which has the added benefit of an answer machine service, as well as all of the other standard features. Not only is this comfortably sized handset packed full of useful applications – it also looks great. The styling echoes that of current touch screen mobile models, offering familiarity whilst still looking fantastic in any design conscious home, and giving the user a range of communication options.

One main benefit to owning any home phone is the undeniably improved call quality and signal capabilities they offer – and the Gigaset SL930 delivers accordingly. No longer must we search for signal atop kitchen furniture! With the Gigaset SL930 you can roam at will – because let’s face it, you have more important things to do with your time than spending twenty minutes of your day determining that the broken voice down the phone, is in fact, just another nuisance call.

Hold the phone! We hear you cry – home phones are undisputedly more prone to receiving nuisance calls! But fear not our savvy friend; with the Gigaset SL930 you can easily silence unwanted callers in just a few taps of the screen. On the other hand, should you want to pursue a PPI claim, you can do so with High Definition Speech Quality and even have the option to record your conversation.

What’s more the Gigaset SL930 A can be configured to use as a home controller; simply connect it to your TV, lighting or security system and you’ll only need the one remote – your Gigaset handset – to control all. Google Cloud will also helpfully sync your contacts to your new handset meaning you can get connected straight away.

All in all, we think the whole Gigaset range has brought a much needed injection of life into the home phone arena; combining modern styling with ease of use and superior German engineering (meaning that 2 year guarantee is unlikely to ever see the light of day). The run up to Christmas is stressful enough, and mobile networks notoriously unreliable when overloaded with a surge in social activity, so we teamed up with Gigaset to give away four favourite handsets (the SL930 A, in case you weren’t paying attention) and help you reach the people you love more easily this year.
